The Foundation for CLASS, Inc. is a private non-profit Kansas corporation that benefits persons with developmental and other disabilities in Cherokee, Crawford, Labette, and Montgomery counties in southeast Kansas, the donor, and other charitable interests of donors. The Foundation manages a permanent endowment and facilitates prudent and care of funds.
The goals of The Foundation for CLASS, Inc. are to:
• provide grants to persons with disabilities for needs not covered by traditional funding
• maximize the current and long-term impact of charitable donations
• provide donors with significant financial advantages, tax benefits, convenience, professional management, versatility, and recognition or anonymity.
Donors to The Foundation may be anyone with a commitment to enhance the quality of life for persons with developmental and other disabilities in southeast Kansas served by CLASS LTD. Whether contributing to an event, making an unrestricted gift, or setting up a trust, everyone can make a difference. All gifts are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
As a private charity, The Foundation can provide substantial tax advantages, enabling individuals and corporations to further their own philanthropic goals. You, the donor, determine the method and the time frame of your donation, and The Foundation will work with you to ensure your donations and your needs are met as well.
Grants are intended to help persons who receive services from CLASS LTD to lead more independent lifestyles and also enhance their quality of life. These grants help support persons with developmental and other disabilities with needs such as dental expenses, car repairs, clothing, and household items.
A volunteer Board of Trustees guides the growth, direction, and management of The Foundation. These individuals are knowledgeable in a variety of areas, have diverse professional expertise, and have demonstrated leadership attributes.
