Client Involvement

CLASS LTD promotes lifestyle choices and gives persons with developmental disabilities opportunities to participate in their community by providing and/or arranging for a variety of quality services and supports. Through CLASS LTD services, persons with developmental disabilities develop friendships, gain employment in a competitive job market, and live as independently as possible. CLASS LTD offers persons with developmental disabilities several opportunities to participate in teams, clubs, and beneficial programs.

The Positive Advocacy Community Empowerment (PACE)

The Positive Advocacy Community Empowerment, or PACE, is a self-advocate group for adults with developmental disabilities. It provides leadership experience, community involvement opportunities, and supports the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in the community. Pace members are encouraged to become an active member of the Self Advocate Coalition of Kansas (SACK).  To visit SACK online use the following link www.sackonline.org

AKTION Club

The Aktion Club is an organization for adults who live with a disability. It is designed to provide those with disabilities an opportunity to develop initiative and leadership skills, to serve their community, to be integrated into society, and to demonstrate the dignity and value of citizens living with disabilities. The Sunflower Kiwanis of Pittsburg is the parent club for the Aktion Club in Pittsburg.

Job Club

Job Club provides recognition of individuals with disabilities for their successful employment and offers support and interaction with their peers.

The CLASS Choir

The CLASS Choir is comprised of clients and staff from all four counties. They are active in the community, singing at local events and festivities, churches, and nursing homes. Contact the Choir Director, 1-800-479-0259, to book the choir for your event.
