What is CLASS LTD?
CLASS LTD was founded by parents and advocates to provide services for Southeast Kansans with developmental disabilities. CLASS LTD was incorporated in 1975 as a private, not-for-profit, Kansas Corporation providing supports and services for persons with developmental and other disabilities in Cherokee, Crawford, Labette, and Montgomery counties in southeast Kansas.
CLASS LTD offers a wide range of innovative service choices to meet individual needs, and provides opportunities for persons with developmental disabilities to maximize their potential and enable them to achieve community inclusion, acceptance, and individual rights. Specific services include: Employment, Community Living, Valued Activities, Family/Individual Supports for Adults and Children, Host Family, Case Management, Transportation, and Self-Directed Care Payroll Services.
CLASS LTD is licensed as a community developmental disability service provider by the State of Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services.
Since 1984, CLASS LTD has been the only Southeast Kansas developmental disability organization that is accredited by The Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). The most recent three-year accreditation is for Organizational Employment Services, Community Employment Services: Job Development, Job-Site Training, and Job Supports Employment Services, and Community Services Coordination, and Community Living Services.
CLASS LTD is a community organization that contributes significantly to the southeast Kansas economy, and partners with community organizations, businesses, and civic organizations to meet mutual goals.
CLASS LTD is an organization with a dedicated staff that advocate for, and promote community inclusion for individuals with developmental disabilities.
CLASS LTD is an organization that is available to assist families, affiliated community disability service providers, and communities in designing and implementing solutions to service gaps.
